Fun at the Park

The weather finally cooled off this week, allowing us to take a trip to the park.  Addy's friends (Jolene & Wyatt) joined us for a fun day!  Emmy clearly enjoyed herself too... napping for most of the trip. :)

Newborn Photo Shoot

Scott and I decided we'd attempt our own newborn photo shoot.  Thanks to Pinterest, I got some pretty cute ideas... and I must say-- I'm pretty proud of us for these pics.  Perhaps, I'll quit teaching and become a photographer! haha

Our Family of 4!

Emerson Grace Finney has made her debut!  Emmy joined us on Sunday, June 9th at 10:05 am.  I was scheduled to be induced Sunday morning at 8:00; however, Emmy had different plans.  At 2:00 in the morning, I woke to contractions 2 1/2 minutes apart.  I immediately woke Scott, called the doctor and Scott's mom to come over to take care of Addy.  By the time we left for the hospital at 2:30, contractions were 2 minutes apart.  This labor was quite different from the 36 hours with Big Sister, Addy.  After what seemed like days of questions and paperwork, I got the epidural at 5 am.  Emmy continued to progress, I called the nurse in again at 9:50 saying, "I really feel like she's ready to come out."  They checked me and sure enough Emmy's head was right there and I was 10 cm... 3 pushes later (just like her sister), we were a family of 4. 

Emmy has been an absolute blessing to our family.  We are complete.  :)  Addy is doing amazingly well with her.  She's very proud to be a big sister... in fact she asked me today if she could bring her to school for show and tell.  She informed me that she'd bring Emmy in her backpack, I just had to make sure I packed her paci and milk.  hahaha 

We are sooo happy to have another happy, healthy, beautiful baby.
